The North Bay Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the Third Annual Summer String Retreat.

The NBSO Summer String Retreat is a fun and challenging program for adult violin, viola, cello and double bass players of all levels of ability. The String Retreat will take place Aug 19-23rd, 2012 and will include an informal chamber music sight-reading session on the morning of the 24th.

The focus of the retreat will be on ensemble playing with an emphasis on technique and sound production. You will experience:

• Expert coaching by supportive and dynamic professional musicians
• Daily warm-up exercises and posture workshops with Dr. Mark Swain
• Intimate performances by Silver Birch String Quartet
• Performance experience within your chamber groups
• New! Choral music sessions with Adam Adler
• Informal evening social events
• Many outdoor recreational opportunities
